What types of stone do you work with?

We restore all natural stone including marble, limestone, granite, slate, travertine, sandstone, terrazzo and quarry tile. We also work on engineered stone and quartz worktops.

How long does the restoration process take?

A single worktop can be done in a few hours. A large floor restoration may take one to two days. We give a clear timeframe at the survey stage.

Will there be any mess or disruption to my home?

Accepted Answer

We use dust-free, water-based systems wherever possible to minimise mess. Our equipment is contained and we leave the area clean when we are done.

Do I need to be home during the work?

You do not have to be present throughout, but we ask that someone is available at the start to talk through the work. We show you the finished result before we leave.

How long will the results last?

With the correct aftercare, results can last many years. We seal all surfaces after restoration and provide aftercare advice.

Is stone restoration cheaper than replacement?

Accepted Answer

Almost always yes. Restoration is a fraction of the cost of replacement and in most cases produces a result indistinguishable from new stone.

We are based on Hayling Island and cover Hampshire and Surrey including Portsmouth, Chichester, Eastleigh, Whiteley and Guildford. We also take on work further afield for the right project.

Thomas visits your property, assesses the stone and gives you an honest opinion on what can be achieved and what it will cost. No charge and no obligation.

Can you restore stone that has been badly damaged or stained?

Accepted Answer

Often yes. Deep etching, heavy staining and significant scratching can all be treated. We assess each job individually and only take on work we are confident we can improve significantly.
